The annual report for ECC-Iceland 2014 has been issued, but ECC-Iceland assists consumers having disputes with traders from other countries within the EEA. This means that consumers can seek assistance when having problems regarding on-line purchases or transactions made while on holiday in another EEA-country.
The report is an informative summary of the operations of ECC-Iceland, including several success stories of cases handled by the ECC-Iceland. During 2014 ECC-Iceland received 39 information requests, 25 simple complaints and 42 normal complaints, where mediation was necessary. Most of the complaints concerned transport and car rental.
